About Us

Welcome to Navi Ummed

Navi Ummed is a registered, non-profit, secular, and voluntary organization dedicated to rural and urban development since 2007. Our mission is to address Natural Resource Management (NRM)-based livelihood challenges, improve community health, and promote quality education. We work with socially and economically marginalized communities, with a special focus on empowering women and strengthening community-based organizations.
Registered under the Societies Act, Navi Ummed is deeply committed to sustainable development through local resource management. Our primary focus is the upliftment of the Kolam tribe, a primitive tribal group residing in the Kinwat and Mahur tahsils of Nanded district, Marathwada region. Kinwat, with its dense forest cover and 152 villages under the Fifth Schedule, presents unique challenges and opportunities for tribal development.
